Dream about it... by fredrikaw Dream about it... by fredrikaw
A beautiful sunset in Stockholm, quite late at the evening. Taken with a f/22 aperture to make the most of the photo sharp. Hope you like it!

Thanks for all the nice comments, I really appreciate all of them!

If you want an other sunset, take a look at this:

Jättevackert! Har du förstärkt färgerna i photoshop?

Nope, stor bländare och lång slutartid var allt som behövdes. Kontrasten förstärkte jag med +3, inte mycket...

Wow! How did you retain the colors that often disappear in sunset photographs?

Well first of all, you'll need a very long shutter. Then you'll need to set the exposure on the sky/water (I make the exposure -1,0). Use a remote cord (I think that's the English name on it) to take the shot.

In PS, I've removed just a little bit blue but not much. Don't edit the shot to much in PS, try to take a good photo from the beginning. ;)

Thanks very much for the help! I don't have a remote control or anything, but I can set the self-timer to activate a few seconds after I press the shutter release button.
Also, what exactly do you mean by making the exposure "-1,0"?

You can set the self timer yes. If you set the exposure to -3.0, the picture is going to be very dark and if the exposure is +3.0, it'll be very bright, understand? The camera's standard setting for the exposure is 0.0. Just one last thing, I'm using a Nikon and I can only change the exposure when the camera is in the P, A, S and M mode (For Canon I think i'ts; P, Tv, Av and M).

I knew all that; I was just confused by the style of decimal notation (1 000,0 or 1.000,0 rather than 1,000.0)
Thanks for explaining it anyway ^^;
